Pelican Industrial Sales Corporation was formed in April 1994 by young Entrepreneurs and Engineers.

The name PELICAN was derived from a book/movie THE PELICAN BRIEF who at that time was very popular.   PELICAN is incidentally a big bird with a large neck like a swan.

The corporation was registered with SEC, DTI and BIR on April 1994.  The first office was in 2^nd Floor Waban Building, JR Borja Street, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Incorporators wanted, dreamed that the company will soar like a PELICAN in the very near future.

Since most of the Incorporators are Electrical Engineers and Industrialists, the products sold were concentrated on technical equipment, like:

• Light to Heavy Electrical Materials like Transformers, Controls, Automation, Test Instruments for the Power Industry, Manufacturing and Food Industries.
• Refurbishing of existing Electrical Power Installations
• Supply of Industrial Fluid Handling Equipment like Valves and Pumps.

Thru the years the company changed ownerships and officers.   The present office is at Door 5 & 6, The Promenade, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, 9000.

The Company also put up a Service Cum Bodega Shop at Lot 15, Block 14, Scions, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, 9000.
